Etsy Tyranny Update for the Shield Maidens

Looks like Etsy's stock fell and the CEO was fired today! https://techgossip.org/etsy-craters-14-after-announcing-its-ceo-is-stepping-down-and-job-cuts-are-coming/

As a fellow craft shop owner mentioned "KARMA" ....Strange how the article mentions a "faster execution" for the out going CEO. Really? do they plan on executing him?

8% of the workforce is getting fired-hopefully that will be the rude ones like Joey, you know who you are. So I wonder what new rule changes are on the table for the poor shop owners this time? Now we see why Etsy needs the extra fee money from forced transactions placed on Etsy merchants. It looks as though this company is being ruled by "might is right" protocol straight out of Brooklyn and has positioned itself as a direct sledge hammer on the artist crafty home maker population. I am sure they will initiate the "bankrupt buyout" money scam shortly.

Very happy I no longer have to deal with them. I have faith that as positive creative light beings we will  one day soon create a new market system for us to sell our handmade wares for the benefit of the artist directly - without the rules of these parasite companies.

To the creative ladies/Shield Maiden's that follow me... Always remember your energy belongs to you! It originates from your spirit. Do everything in your power to wield and direct it in the way you see fit, not allowing anyone else to misdirect and steal or drain it from you! As long as you have good intentions the Universe will always back you up...keep up your great work!

I am posting this notice for my customers as Etsy has now blocked my ability to send messages as "punishment" for speaking out and sending an alert to my fans.

Yes... really they did! They seem to think they are my boss and that I answer to them, or something.

I do plan on writing an article to answer some of the responses I got and help with some suggestions from those of us that have left. Through trying to contact those that have favorited my etsy shop of the years. Finally Etsy has put their last nail in the coffin for me.

Message to my fans

You are receiving this message because you have favorited, purchased or liked an item from FairyWillow’s Etsy shop. Etsy has forced me to send this urgent notice to you and is forcing (on mass scale) Etsy shop closings for anyone that wants to sell through paypal only. They created a new new rule that says if you only want to use “trusted” paypal then your shop will be forcibly closed by May 18th. So since I choose to use a reliable service such as paypal with paypal protection and Etsy itself does not respond to buyer or seller disputes and leaves them ignored. I am forced into the position with many others to close my shop in order to maintain customer satisfaction. With Etsy’s new policy people with stolen credit cards can make purchases of our items steal them and all of us hand made buyers are left open to theft with no way to pursue a refund. Etsy has shown full disregard to all artists and creators that have funded their company through our hard work sweat and tears of the years. This is an absolute slap in the face.

Last year I saw this trend and I created my own shopping cart checkout at my website Fairy-Willow.com where all sales go securely through paypal with piece of mind of buyer and seller protection and 24 phone assistance for us both. I promise not to spam, I only send emails out to my fans on new creations and the exciting things we are doing here at the movie studio. You can always unsubscribe at any time…

What ever you do, please be aware that any etsy purchase goes to fund a company that seeks absolute control of the artists on etsy as money slaves in every way. They data mine every purchase you make and when you make a purchase on Etsy after the May 18th deadline you are supporting their destruction of the income of struggling mothers, and grandmothers and all hand made wares of America. When will the people stand up and say, I WILL NOT COMPLY?

Today IS that day for me, I will not comply and I will NO LONGER support or feed a company that parasites off of hard working people in order to obtain more fees and deals through credit card companies and fraudulent claims. We as people need to step back from all of these “companies” trying to control our lives, what we do and what we say. Facebook, twitter etsy etc. have to know that we will no longer support their slavery of US. Because I am telling you this…… I may even have my shop shut down or be forcibly silenced today because WE as the sellers are forbidden to speak to other sellers or even notify etsy patrons of our plight.

But the last time I looked, I am in America a free country where I have free speech! I am an inventor, I am a creator, I am a 5 star seller and I worked hard over several years to EARN that rating… I make dreams into reality for anyone that asks and so I hope you will follow me and join my newsletter onto my new platform and support any other artist you have bought from in the past as they are facing this same choice, be backed into a corner, comply or starve.

Moving week and Eva Cassidy

Hi all, Hope to share a real update soon! I am packing up my shop and we will be moving to a new and better studio! And the new studio will be GREMLIN free! ;O)

Listening to some of my favorite (transition) songs while I clear out some old things yet again. One of my favorite singers is Eva Cassidy. Sadly though she had such a beautiful voice and was so absolutely talented ... she passed away from cancer at age 33 in 1996. I never heard her until a few years later and wish I could have heard her sing in person.... Take a listen to the most amazing voice. 1920's Speak Easy Gala

Thought I would share a project we just finished this week. I painted two murals and there are lots of other little props made today too. Hopefully I get more good pics from the crew once this is set up. We got this last minute and worked down to the deadline.

There is a secret entrance/exit to the bootleg joint for all the party goers :O)

Richie did and awesome job.. he built the structure in ONE DAY! like woah! rock on!

Updated with photos from the hotel with everything all set up! I wonder what the secret password is :O)

The ladies at the party look so cute in their 1920's dresses! I decorated the cigar box holder and it looks like it fits perfect!

Happy New Year and Flashback

Hi all! I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope that all of your faerie wishes come true at the New Years Ball!

And I wanted to take a moment for a flashback rewind to the old days for me. I remember all the great concerts me and my friends used to save our change and any little bit of money we pulled together at our fast food jobs just to get to the show in town on the weekend. One of my absolute favorites was Jon Bon Jovi! He always sings with such emotion and powerful energy. If any of you were ever there at one of his concerts you will remember how he would fly across the crowd with a a harness... I can remember him stopping for a song right above me once so close I could jump up and grab him ... I ALMOST did lol!

Some of the girls would wear ball gowns to the concerts. How time flies when you are having fun! This song brings back lots of lost memories for me. And its a good one to say goodbye and end the events of 2016 going into the new...thought I would share.

Updated: I had to add an update to this post and REMOVE Jon Bon Jovi video-for the point of it. I have recently came across some info about what a jerk he has been ruthless to the bands he "helped". I agree with the poster of one comment, Karma always comes back to get you. Especially when you are greedy!! Richie However does the right thing!

But as for Jon I am no longer a fan :O(

A little Scrooge rant before Christmas...

Hi All

It has come to my attention yet again that a certain artist is copying my work. She even sent out a christmas notice to her customers with a troll painted face just like my etheric elves with a jewel in the forehead. She is from Norway and one would think that her being born in the home of the trolls would inspire her own original ideas... yet not. So I decided to write a poem to the Scrooge Shirley on this fine holiday.

And also announce that I will begin a secret section that only my customers can sign up and have access to see private listings. That way no one will have access to certain trolls except the buyers. Look for that section coming soon! Tammy

Siberian Falcon, the beautiful Circa

I thought I would share the day here at the studio with you all. We got a visit today from a beautiful Siberian Falcon mix from Russia. Her name is Circa and she is 6 months old. Her owner who is an experienced bird of prey handler brought her out for a while. She has a barn she shares with a lovely owl that will be making a guest appearance with Fairy Willow characters look for that coming soon.

She was absolutely beautiful and well behaved.  We were all freezing and she was perfectly at home.

Rupert and Ludo

Linda sent the cutest photo of Rupert in his new home! The tiny little guy next to him is Ludo named after Ludo from the Labyrinth! Isn't he adorable? Rupert is about 6 almost 7 inches tall so that tells you exactly how tiny little Ludo is. So cute.

Its October-watchout for the Gremlins!!!

Oh what an awesome blog post I have today... I got to meet Mark Dodson, he stopped by my shop for a visit. And brought something so awesome and amazing that I had to run and get my camera! Any Gremlin fans out there?? Well here is the unboxing... of one of the original Gremlins from the 1984 movie kept in the best near mint condition possible by Mark. It has recently been acquired by a collector and is with us for some restoration work. He will be on display at the Witch's Dungeon museum for Halloween!

Here are the photos... he still looks like a creepy little devil. Mark is an amazing voice actor and did the voices for creatures in Starwars and the Gremlins. Maybe one day soon we can talk him into switching to TROOOLLLS! oh yea ;O) He sounded up for it !! How exciting...

Something Different...

Today I am being a little creative and working on something a little different. I plan on adding a shopping cart to my website and am in the process of redesigning it right now. I want to have some new pretty exciting things available so that I can entice my fans to move over to my site instead of Etsy.

These swords started from an idea I had for making these for myself. I have been really inspired by sword dancing and have been practicing the art myself. But I need a good sturdy duo sword set. I will post more about the idea behind this soon... here are the first rough versions. There will also be practice daggers too !
