Iconic Artist Moment the Dying of my Puppet and New Trolls

Documented an awesome artist moment this week. Its just been so fun and a busy lately. I have more new trolls coming after this post. Here are some photos I took this week while working at Bills studio. My new buddy Ron Chaney (grandson of ...the Lon Chaney horror film icons Sr and Jr) was helping the other legend Bill Diamond first ever puppet. I was watching them in awe at the moment when Ron said "don't you think you should go get your camera?". I was like WOW omg yeah-and ran across the studio to get it lol! I can't wait to see my puppet finished!!

How awesome! I can't believe this is my life now... I have been having so much fun! We are working on a very awesome and cool project and I will let you know more details soon. Here are a few shots of this weeks visit with the photo of Mr. Chaney with my other new buddy John working out some business.

The making of my first puppet!

Working at Bills studio on my first ever puppet! We chose Belford. Then I had a few hugs for Sully ...hes sooo cuddly! more pics soon!

Whats a Dig Um ?

What is a "Dig Um" you ask? A Troll, Elf or Goblin Dig Um has been enchanted by a fairy village and is being held hostage-OH my! A Dig Um borrows themselves into the ground and lives in a hole that they will not or cannot leave. Some times ...after the fairy village sets them free... they stay... they are too accustomed to the safety and security of the hole they have lived in for so many years. Some are grumpy at times and set traps for unsuspecting by passers. Some are friendly and live with the fairy villagers and their hat wear is a great place for a fairy nap or a new fairy dwelling.

For sale are Goff and Okie sleeping fairy, Corkle, Trench and Grubb. Grubb is the one that seems to have issues with the pesky fairies dwelling in his hat... but he puts up with it!

Finally after a million years images are uploaded... I miss my apple puter :o/ but I am here now.. at my destination and so excited for the upcoming weeks ~feeling totally inspired!

Finished display sketch

Fairy Willow finished display sketch... now I will work on the desk ... some of the creatures in the display are ones I made in the past, some I have that are new and I just have not posted to my shop yet.... and some have not been created yet.

Hmmm I wonder if anyone can name which ones are which? lol

Character display design

 

Hi everyone! My shop is back up! .. I am back in business though I am still trying to get settled in. I plan on working on more creatures this week. Plus I am working on a Kickstarter campaign in order to fund the construction of my shop display at Bill's studio! So here is a sample design of what I think will best show off my creatures. I will be adding a work desk and table to it too!

I will post my kickstarter link next week and I hope I reach my goal... because if you don't reach your kickstarter goal-you get nada! There are lots of struggling artists that seem to be getting lots of support with their dreams.... I hope I can be one ;o)

Elwee & Nick's Wicked Awesome Collection!

Wicked awesome customer pics of Elwee from Nick! Thanks so much for sharing the photos of your amazing collection! Elwee is right in the middle of a cool cast looking all sinister like he might just jump out and BITE anyone that gets too close to the glass! lol! I love the shadows on his face and nose in the photos. I think I may even recognize some of my fellow Fairy Society dollmaker's creations in there too! This is also amazing because it shows that we doll artists are really making something that people treasure and going against all of that mass produced "stuff" from China!

I do so love hearing from all of my customers..be sure you all do keep in touch because you really are my friends. You support my art and keep me always inspired to do more and new creations. I love all the messages and letters and ideas you all send. I do keep an artist scrapbook where I add customer photos... Keep them coming... I move in a week and I really can't wait to focus on just being inspired!

Wonderfest 2014 was wonderful!

WonderFest USA 2014 was so much fun! I had such a great time and it was so nice meeting new fans of my artwork and seeing great creative friends. Creative people are the best in the world! My nephew Nathan brought his guitar and played the Godzilla theme song among other beautiful melodies. And I got to hold the cutest little ewok you have ever saw in the universe-Thanks for your help Barb Customjewelrycreations Early you are the best! The stormtroopers and monsters came by for Gorgo to taunt lol! The Jaws display was amazingly scary! The witches dungeon display of the original classic Beauty and the Beast from 1946 was so beautiful, every detail down to the lace and ribbons was superb!
