March of Dimes Charity Auction

I made a few fun items to auction off... thought I would share :)

Chocolate high heels and sugar diamond gems, yes they are completely edible except for the card of course!

I had a ton of sugar left over and so I got creative and thought WOW a Chihuly inspired necklace would be awesome! so this is my take on that too ... and yes all edible pure sugar 'glass'

Fairy Baby Changeling Folklore

Fairy baby changeling folklore tells...
Some fairies will steal a human child every so often for their own use. They will leave in the human child's place a 'copy' or replica to fool the mother. Sometimes the child is wooden or a fairy enchantment spell. While the real baby is whisked away to fairyland and adorned with all of the splendor of the fairy forest raised along side fairy folk.

Emerald city

I repaired a bracelet and made these earrings for my friend... another late night!

Oh my goodness... these crystals were so sparkly and beautiful, she just had to revisit the design and re-order in peridot.

I think they turned out really nice, they remind me of the Emerald city from the Wizard of Oz !

I have to make myself a pair of these!

Hogbin the Hobb Goblin!

Thank you Scot and Ashley... I love the customer photo! This looks to be one of Kerrie Sawyer's dolls next to mine... isn't she cute? Looks like Hogbin has a great new home.

Eureka!

Finally, wow... it gets tricky when "life" tries to sidetrack creativity! aside from a sprained finger and a slight slice from the exact-o blade... not to mention a meeting with a NJ Senator (we can discuss that one another time)...

I am surprised I got it done!

Anyways here we are... final photos before the mold...

Tammys Creations update: I have been trying for a year to transition from tammys-creations to Fairy Willow. I began creating my artwork under the name fairy willow 15 years ago and had strayed away from the name. Now more than ever I think it fits my work best. I know I have a steady group of visitors to my old website which is now down, and no more… but the new site will be up and running within the week and I hope to offer some cool links. I will announce it next week !!

Update on the magazine. Fairy Willow magazine has been put on hold until later this year. I have too many commissions and personal projects in order to devote the time I would like to right now. I have not forgotten all who wish to be involved. I simply have been so swamped it is a daily struggle to keep up, esp while I have a full time job and one part time job and do volunteer work.

Thanks everyone and remember this Facebook link will be dissolved soon as well… I know its a lot of change but sometimes thats what we need to move forward :)

Coming together

Bit by bit, this is taking much longer than I thought it might. Esp whilst doing 50 million other things...

Now just a few finishing touches and then.. the wings...

In pieces...

he is almost there...

I made a tool to create more scales faster and measure each one to be exactly the same amount of clay. I hope that little detail will show in the finished product :)
