Yes I was one of those artsy girls in the 80's that splashed paint all over her clothes and spent hours in line at the record store dying for the new Duran Duran record.

Spring Sunshine from here to France *with updates

Please sun be here to stay! It rained for weeks straight. I also hope that everyone can get outside even though we are told to stay inside! That is one rule everyone should break...right now ..forever!

I haven't posted new pics in a while so I thought I would share my tree hugging. Also there are some lovely pics that Aude sent me from her morning walk in the French countryside. A beautiful sunrise that's shabby chic heaven. All the animals came out to meet her like snow white.

Two geese saw me sitting on the dock... landed and swam across the inlet to check me out. With fewer humans around, surely the animal realm knows that somethings wrong and are worried too.

Right now we can all take a break and get some sun together ;O)

Hi all!

Sorry I have not been able to post in a while its been pretty busy here! I removed my old fairy-willow.com domain and now have a new one called

Fairywillows.com

It doesn't have the dash and I think it is a lot easier to remember. I had the other address for almost 15 years I believe. Since everyone visits my blog for updates just letting you know here so if you see the site transition the next few days you will know why and not to worry. I will have all the new links set to go to the new web address.

Tautumeitas Latvian Singers

For ancient Latvians, the name “tautumeitas” was given to young women at marriageable age but today it stands for all women dressed in national costumes.

Tautumeitas's music is created by six voices and six pairs of hands owned by Latvian girls, who believe that music makes the world better.

The principal interest of the group is traditional singing, especially multipart singing. The particular voice resonance created by this form of Latvian traditional singing provides enjoyment not only for the audience but also for the performers themselves. In order to portray traditional music from their own perspective and to show how the modern day 'Tautumeita' thinks and feels, the members each incorporate different instruments into this traditional a capella vocal music. The majority of the band's members have studied ethnomusicology, which is why there are many traditional music influences from different parts of the world.

Linda Blair's Worldheart Foundation Fall Donations

I wanted to share this post for Linda. She is looking for emergency donations for her rescue foundation. Here are the links to her video and the donation page. Not many people know how much of her time goes into rescuing abused and neglected animals by nursing them back to health helping them to thrive again...

I just saw this and had to share the post! Tiffany did such a good job! How cute is this? I love the two faced cinnamon bun! LOL!!

Sparkles and Gretel! Happy Holidays!!

Sparkles and Gretel, a Christmas short based on the fairytale of Hansel and Gretel but with a unicorn twist!

When I designed Gretel I had no idea how much work would go into puppeteering her in a small space. She is just under two feet tall and we had to make a special rig to operate her. Thanks so much to Tiffany and John for helping direct us for the camera as we were completely blind.

The animations took up to a year to make. Thanks to mom for the suggestions on the new Gingys... of course these are so much better thanks to her!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all and I hope you get some much needed laughs! We had so much fun... there is a great out take I will post soon too!
